Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an integrative psychotherapy approach that has been extensively researched and proven effective for the treatment of trauma. It has also been found to be highly effective in relieving many other types of psychological distress. EMDR incorporates elements from many different treatment approaches. EMDR treatment uses structured protocols, which are contained within the supportive experience of psychotherapy. For more information please visit the EMDR International Association website.
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is a short-term structured approach to couples therapy formulated in the early 1980's by Drs Sue Johnson and Les Greenberg. For more information please visit the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy.
