Counselling/Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy is a unique process for each individual or couple. It usually takes the form of a conversation, although sometimes we agree to experiment with more structured exercises.
We focus on the concerns which are of the greatest importance to you. Typical concerns might be:
- relationship problems
- grief and loss
- gender identity and sexual orientation
- traumatic experiences and abuse
- feelings of depression and anxiety
- problems with self esteem and identity
- meaning of life and spiritual seeking
Together we work to help you find comfort, resolve emotional distress,
clarify decisions, and strengthen relationships. We will seek understanding
of individual, family and cultural histories, and the integration of traumatic
experiences. Often clients become aware of feelings that they had not
noticed before, and discover patterns and connections that help to make
sense of their lives.
It is important that you feel comfortable with me, and sense that I am the right person for you. If you are not sure that this is the best place for you, I can help you to explore other options.
I am open to any questions that you might have.
